Reserves are held for one (1) week, from the time I notice them and tell you you're reserved and the like. If you need an extension, that extension will last a week from when it's gone up and all.

if I make him AU, could I have it that he's always been in the Pokemon universe, as a Pokemon breeder?

(My greatest apologies for taking so long to reply! Here we go--)

You may indeed if you so wish! He just has to start with the same base as everyone else is all (that is to say, level 5 starter, nothing more, regardless of any pokemon he may have raised in the past).

I have to ask though, is the game active? I'm looking around and it doesn't seem like it :(

It's in a bit of a cloud at the present moment; about two months ago I noticed that activity was dipping considerably, so it entered a sort of musebox status until people came back again--once these reserves came in, the other members got quite excited, and before responding to the reserves was able to safely say that we'll be able to reactivate!

So don't worry! It doesn't look like it, but you aren't joining a dead game; there should be a monthly update post on the 1st of November in fact.
