The country of Unova is a fairly vast place; you can't just teleport city to city right off the bat. The pokemon native to the world also vary, considerably so in fact- if you were to actively pursue the full pokedex, you'd have to visit each route at least once!

This guide here will shed some light on what pokemon live where, and how to catch them; it'll show what pokemon live in the grass, what live on the tops of waters, and which ones will need to be fished out and caught. Some pokemon will be easily encountered; others may take days, or even weeks to find!

In the time that's passed in Unova however, some rare pokemon have become more active. Audino in particular can be found occasionally on each route, provided one looks in and around the same area for a few hours; in caves, this encounter varies,  but quite typically Drillbur or Excadrill are common. Very rarely, an extremely valuable catch will appear; these catches may take up to a full month of searching in the area- or they may only take a week. It's certainly less of a search range than an entire route however, so anyone aiming to move quickly won't likely find these!
There are many routes in Unova however; for ease of navigation, simply click the region your desired route lies within, and click or scroll at leisure from there!

ENCOUNTER KEY
Common
Uncommon (approximately a few days looking)
Rare (approximately about a week looking)
Really Rare (approximately a few weeks looking)

Now that isn't to say you'll always have to look that long for a pokemon; some people get lucky, they find that darn Tynamo or Feebas right off! However, be realistic about it! If you're lucky enough to do that, you probably won't have it happen again for at least a few weeks when it comes to the rare ones- more like a few months for the REALLY rare ones (unless you do spend the few weeks looking).

Although technically a very new city in Unova, Humilau has quickly become a hotspot for activity, particularly during the summer seasons. Undella as well garners such attention- though Humilau does indeed have the advantage of tropic heat, Undella is the region with the white sandy beaches! Most of what's sold is created from found objects in the area- however, some of these objects are far more than mere trinkets...

Thanks to the destruction of the south-west side of Victory Road, Opelucid's status as a Final Gym for aspiring trainers has come under considerable question- nonetheless, recent technological advancements and the popularity of the city's history with Dragons has retained its status. While Opelucid's 'modern' design may be jarring for some, others will find it an interesting treat after the rustic nature of the Village Bridge; though the Bridge lacks a PokeMart, they sell a small stock of supplies nonetheless, which can be found in a locally run Day Care- their true specialty however, is in a nearby cafe's sandwiches. Victory Road of course, relies on no such thing- however they do sell a wide variety of pokeballs.

Another chain of mountains with its own charm, Black City more or less drained other towns in the area of commerce- despite this however, they've managed to create their own sets of unique wares- while Lentimas gets by with their impressive charms and trinkets, Lacunosa has recently opened a Bicycle shop! White Forest as well has a market of sorts, but not the kind which relies on Poke-Dollars! For information on White Forest's Berry Market, see this page.

Aah, the cities of Twist Mountain. In their own way, each of them have a wide market of wares to offer those passing through; Icirrus makes do with their basics, due to the nearly immediate need for winter clothing when passing through, as well as many items to aid evolution. Mistralton in the meantime sells berries by the truckload, for those unable or unwilling to grow their own. Driftveil's market is booming with the opening of the Clay Tunnel and Relic Passage however; stones are drawn out of the cave walls each day, with plenty to sell to those passing!

Arguably the center of commerce in Unova, Nimbasa and Castelia may not have as much in the way of Black City, but they certainly have their bonuses; Castelia's glass blowers will create flutes of all kinds, while Nimbasa sells literally any Accessory or Prop needed for their contest hall- for only 100P each! Nimbasa is also the center for Caravan Purchases; information on such can be found here.

Similar to the Flocessy Region, the Nuvema Peninsula is largely stocked with supplies meant to aid starting trainers and breeders, helping them to prepare for their journey into Unova. Due to this, much of the stock is quite similar to Flocessy's own; however, rather than specialties such as incense and parchment, the Nuvema Peninsula is known for its fossils.

The Flocessy Region is much like the Nuvema Peninsula, in that it stocks pokeballs encouraging the bonds between trainers, as well as many goods and treats to promote health. Unlike the Peninsula however, which is known for its fossils, Flocessy stocks traditional stationary, as well as various incenses.

Unova has a good number of stores for all sorts of different wares; most typically you'll find that for every 100P you spend, you'd have spent a dollar in the average 'Home World'. However while you'll no doubt find basic supplies such as clothing and camp supplies in all of Unova's cities and towns, many of the stores running on standard currency also vary through the region, or even refuse to sell supplies to those without gym badges or ranked ribbons; the basic ones don't stack! This handy guide should clear up what's what when it comes to Poke-Mart shopping!

Simply click the links below the map, and you'll be brought to a page with the store information for that region; from there you can either click a precise city for the store you want, or simply scroll at leisure! For information on Caravans, you want this page. For information on the Berry Trade, that's this page.
